Eligibility

PulseCare provides online consultations for eligible non-urgent care, including follow-up, report review and preventive discussions. Any potentially urgent symptom requires immediate local medical assessment.

Suitable for

• Non-urgent follow-up of stable chronic conditions (e.g. controlled hypertension)
• Discussion of recent investigation reports
• Medication continuation and adherence review
• Preventive and lifestyle discussion

Not suitable for

• New, undiagnosed or worsening cardiac symptoms
• Chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations or any acute presentation
• Conditions requiring physical examination
• Any emergency or potentially emergency condition

Platform and technology

Online consultations are conducted via video or telephone, using a platform agreed with the patient. You are responsible for ensuring a private, well-lit environment and a stable internet or telephone connection.

Limitations

Online consultations cannot include physical examination, ECG or point-of-care testing. If the physician determines that local in-person assessment is necessary, the consultation will be concluded and immediate local care advised.

Records and prescriptions

A record of the online consultation is maintained as part of your practice file. Prescriptions issued during online consultations follow applicable telemedicine guidelines.

Emergencies during an online consultation

If a medical emergency arises during an online consultation, the physician will advise immediate emergency care. Call 112 or go to your nearest Emergency Department without delay.

Fees and cancellation

Fees for online consultations, where applicable, are communicated at the time of booking. Cancellation terms are as per the cancellation policy on this website.
